Ransomware: an update from systemsGo

Following the most recent Ransomware attacks, we immediately activated our crisis management escalation procedure.  Despite these kinds of attacks being out of our control, our focus remains on our clients’ ability to continue doing business with the least impact. We have and will continue to do our utmost to ensure that any disruption is minimized and that our clients can be protected, where possible, from similar attacks in the future.

 

Our response consisted of an initial alert to our clients detailing any actions that should be taken along with steps and advice catered to specific clients where that was asked for.  We followed up with updates when the situation changed.

 

Our systemsGo SMART Monitoring Server continues to monitor our clients’ system where it is installed. During the period of the last two attacks, very few of our clients reported an occurrence of this incident and our engineers and our monitoring systems remain vigilant to any similar future occurrences.

 

We continue to do everything within our capabilities to ensure our clients’ businesses remain unaffected. We advise that all businesses remain vigilant and be extremely suspicious of all emails they may receive, paying attention to emails that ask the recipient to open an attached document or click on a web link.
