    Project Description: New Office Set-up for globally renown Public Relations agency


    After some years of enjoying occupancy in one of the established landmark buildings in central Minato-ku, and experiencing several workplace redesigns to accommodate their growth in that space, our client finally decided to completely relocate, selecting another landmark building where the location was chosen for its unique blending of natural beauty, tradition and culture.


    systemsGo provided bilingual IT consulting and IT project management services from our Workplace Technology Group covering the IT-stream requirements.


    Having more than 3 years of experience in providing the Client with ongoing daily IT Infrastructure and User Support in Japan, and thus being very familiar with Client’s environment, systems and global standards, we were able to succinctly design & deliver a modern office with functionality that well meets the Client needs now, and with technology that will serve it well into the future.


    For its network infrastructure, the Cisco switch Meraki MS120-48LP and the access point Meraki MR42 were deployed. Moreover a comprehensive appliance Cisco ASA with FirePOWER services was also deployed for network security. Cisco ASA with FirePOWER combines the multilayered defense functions such as Firewall and Gateway into one device, while reducing complexity and lowering costs. With superior visibility and automation capabilities network management efficiency has been dramatically improved.


    In the on-premises server room, APC’s Smart-UPS was implemented and that made them also succeed in reducing the burden on the IT administrator by increasing the efficiency due to automated power efficiency and LCD screen that makes us intuitively learn the current status of energy consumption.


    For the telephony system IP-PBX, which uses the Internet, was introduced. That made them achieve high expandability while reducing operation management costs compared to that of traditional phone system.


    For the exclusive internet line, the Client chose Colt IP Access. Colt IP Access managed services provide one-stop services from design, installation, operation & monitoring to security. They also have redundancy configuration and nearly 100% operation rate and less than 1 hour of downtime per year. Their 24/7 customer support in bilingual is now providing the global company much more secured internet environment.


    There was a tight timeframe on this project, however our talented team of IT professionals worked closely together with key Client stakeholders both locally and globally, as well as with the appointed design firm, the local building management company, and other vendors, and ensured that business opened as planned on Day-1.
